KCFC Winter Dance 2009

Kilbirnie Community Football Club held their Winter Dance at Garnock Labour Social Club on Friday 27th November and it will be remembered as one of the best ones yet.

Dancing to the ever brilliant "Distant Sun", the band seemed to feed off the large and enthusiastic crowd, and the dance floor was busy well before the interval.

The interval was taken up by a quick fire raffle with lots of prizes being spread throughout the hall, and we thank everyone who donated prizes for the raffle. This was followed by a special raffle of a signed Ladeside ball from the Ardagh Glass Cup Final in which Kilbirnie beat Cumnock 3-0.

Thanks go to Rebecca Melrose who plays for the KCFC girls. U11s team for donating this prize which was a much sought after item on the night.

The second half just buzzed from start to finish with everyone up dancing and a really great atmosphere created and from feedback everyone seemed to have gone home after thoroughly enjoying their night.

Well done to all the teams for bringing in such a good crowd, many of whom are involved with the teams on a weekly basis and KCFC thank you for that.

Same time, same place next year so make a note in your diary when Santa brings you one for Friday 26th Nov 2010. Till then , thanks to everyone for making the 2009 event a great success, KCFC
